Thailand is known for its beauty and powerful serenity, but Amanpuri takes it to the next level. Among the several tourist resorts scattered across the country, there is one place that feels truly special with 41 Pavillions and 56 rooms. Located on the island of Phuket, Amanpuri is the first wellness sanctuary curated by the luxury hospitality brand Aman in 1988…(this is the OG Aman)! Located on the private peninsula of Pansea Beach, the resort is set among a spattering of decorative palm trees and sights of the Andaman Sea in Thailand. Only a 30-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, guests can surrender to a restorative experience that is unlike any other in the world. Presiding over its own peninsula, Amanpuri guarantees a place of “peace, serenity, a beautiful white-sand beach, great restaurants, and wellness spaces.”

The Amanpuri villas are majestic, private and pay homage to the Thai design history and culture mixed with natural elements of the luxe Aman brand. Makha wood flooring adds warmth and elegance to the energy of the space, with upgraded bathroom suites, roof systems, balcony flooring, and nine Pavillions which have their own swimming pools with panoramic views of the Sea. As the flagship resort, Amanpuri offers more than exceptional aesthetics and beach accesss, but also fine dining, event spaces, cultural experiences, and obviously, an amazing and comprehensive Holistic Wellness Centre.
Amanpuri’s Holistic Wellness Centre combines ancient healing therapies of Thailand and leading global therapeutic practices. The Centre includes the following amenities and attractions: “a Spa House with hydrotherapy facilities, a Vichy shower room, a Banya and an Infrared sauna, massages, facials, body wraps, a steam room, colon cleanses (very interesting!), IV nutrient infusions, coolsculpting sessions, a cold plunge pool and indoor Jacuzzi, an outdoor lounging deck, swimming pool, and a second Jacuzzi overlooking the Andaman Sea.”
The resort has also introduced other wellness and fitness-related experiences to optimize your well-being beyond spa treatments. Programs like Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, Cycling Sessions with a local tour guide, Sushi Masterclasses lead by the Nama restaurant’s seasoned sushi masters, and the Ride the Waves programme (a private surfing experience focused on finding balance). Personally, all of the above sounds like a dream to me and I will 100% be signing up to all of them after I book my flight right now.
As a guest, your day could look like this: relishing in a fresh Italian risotto alongside Thai staples like a fresh mango salad curated by the top chefs at Nama restaurant, after learning more about Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Holistic Wellness Centre, you sample a massage and facial before treating yourself to some quality beach time.
