The Little Nell is a five-star Relais & Chateaux hotel in Aspen, Colorado, which recently added a new breath of life — a newly renovated skin in and ski out Spa to cater to the holistic wellness lifestyle of many Aspenites. Nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain, The Spa at The Little Nell offers guests a place for both relaxation and recovery, so skiers can visit the spa and get treatments before and/or after hitting the slopes. The Spa’s renovation also includes three luxurious treatment suites, a special departure lounge, a state-of-the-art gym, a foyer, speakeasy and restrooms.
The Little Nell is one of Aspen’s most famous and luxury hotels. With 92 keys, the intimate size of the property allows guests for more customized experiences, specifically at the new Spa. The Nell has been more recently renovated to create a vibe of elevated Aspen living by famous designers like Luis Bustamante Interiors of Spain, New York-based firm Champalimaud Design, and Rowland + Broughton Architecture and Interior Design. Now with the new spa, guests can indulge in both performance enhancement and rejuvenation that focuses on the alpine altitude and active lifestyle.
The spa menu comprises of three pathways, Recover + Repair, Replenish + Restore, and Reset + Rebalance. Details are below.

Recover+Repair: There is a Mountain Metamorphosis ritual in this section which involves a salt-infused infrared sauna session to prime the body and boost the respiratory system. You also receive a therapeutic, deep-tissue massage with percussion therapy to release deep-seated tension and LED red light for muscle recovery, along with energized oxygen to promote cellular repair.
Replenish+Restore: This includes an Altitude Adjustment which helps return hydration and nourishment to distressed skin with a full-body exfoliation and facial boost, followed by a contrast steam bath to revitalize and a hydrating body mask infused by infrared heat and negative ions. You also receive a restorative Swedish-style massage infused with nourishing ingredients and energized oxygen.
Reset+Rebalance: Reset with the steam shower, hybrid infrared sauna, and halotherapy room. Each room at the Spa is equipped with a private changing room and steam shower. Two include a hybrid infrared sauna with halotherapy and a dedicated resting area, and two others have a dual treatment tables for you and a friend.
The Spa also houses a variety of treatment offerings in partnership with Dr. Barbara Sturm, designed for performance enhancement and rejuvenation after a long day of skiing. Other treatment partners include brands Colorado based skincare line ISUN and Seed to Skin Tuscany, whose organic line of amenities are also in all guest rooms at The Little Nell. There are a variety of treatments to choose from including a 90-minute Deep Recovery Massage or Exosco-metic Facial, plus an Altitude Adjustment Ritual or Sturmglow Facial. The Spa also offers customized options for specially designed treatments if the menu doesn’t fit your needs.
Next to the spa is also a new fitness centre filled with Woodway treadmills, Peloton cycles, Technogym weight machines, a functional training station from TRX and ample space for free movement and self-directed workouts. For those needing more assistance, personal trainers are available for private bookings upon request. The new spa and gym is going to uplevel the already famous Little Nell to the next level of bespoke luxury and wellness in Aspen.
