Imagine stepping foot into a wellness oasis next to the beach, that you can call home. Perfectly situated in the isolated area of Bay Harbor Islands, The Well Bay Harbor has created a campus of luxury residences for those looking to live in ultimate wellness in Miami 24/7. The Well, a well-known luxury wellness club in New York is a brand where East-meets-West treatments ranging from customized holistic bodywork and energy healing to Chinese medicine and facials and fitness classes are offered to members. Since opening in 2019, other locations with The Well outposts include Connecticut, Costa Rica and Los Cabos, Mexico…and now, Miami.
With six stories of 250,000 SF amongst 54 bespoke residences and 22,000+ SF of state-of-the-art amenities amongst sweeping Bay views, The Well Bay Harbor has transformed this part of Miami into a wellness center for those to disconnect, and refocus on what’s really important — your well-being. Developed by Terra Group and designed by architecture firm Arquitectonica, The Well Bay Harbor is “the first fully integrated luxury wellness residential project in the country.”

Similar to its New York counterpart, The Well Bay Harbor will maintain the same brand of blending Eastern and Western healing practices for residents. Residences are roughly $1.3M and there are 1-4 bedroom options ranging from 924 square feet to 3,291 square feet. The Well was founded by Sarrah Hallock, Rebecca Parekh, and Kane Sarhan who created the concept to further optimize wellness and help busy individuals “live healthier, happier, and more balanced lives.”
Wellness is a holistic concept, beyond just supplements but daily choices we make as a conscious consumer. Wellness is what you put in/on your body, your mind, your soul, who you surround yourself with, what you choose to think and do for yourself and others, and so much more, but one never looks at the home environment as part of wellness, until now. The Well residences incorporate infrastructure to increase wellness in the home, emanating positive energy and emphasizing natural elements. Things like HVAC, water, lighting, construction materials, filtration systems, are all an integral part of the wellness experience at Bay Harbor. Only the most organic and natural elements are used to create a calming, energetically peaceful home.

The Well Bay Harbor has many other health-focused features that make it unique which includes “UV light protectant windows, sound proofing, individualized temperature zones, Dornbracht lymph spa waterfall showers, a heated stone bench, spine jets for intensive regeneration and bench jets to release calf muscle tension.” Home meets wellness technology with the full-body red light therapy in the vanity, to help reduce wrinkles and heal pain. Small, elevated touches help the residents live well — I am personally obsessed with the kitchen that has a built-in vegetable drawer and herb garden for fresh ingredients.

You can’t live at The Well and not experience the five star amenities. With a state-of-the-art fitness center, you can find yourself doing Pilates with a private instructor or running the treadmill overlooking the Bay. Care for a swim or lounge? There are two rooftop decks with a pool and hot tub, equipped with a quiet and luxury lounge space, with chaise chairs and a summer kitchen. If you want to read and drink some tea, The Well has a quiet reading room and tea lounge, and a private boardroom for important business meetings. Exclusive to Miami’s location, the wellness additions like The Bath House (Miami’s first-ever caldarium); The Saunarium; The Halotherapy Steam Room; The Infrared and Sound Dome; and more will be a part of The Well Bay Harbor. Lastly, you can find me at the spa doing exclusive treatments and services, like lymphatic drainage, facials, massages, and more.

Prior to finding The Well, Rebecca Parekh held various positions like being COO of Deepak Chopra’s Radical Well Being and various roles at Deutsche Bank Securities. In 2009, Rebecca was on the way to yet another work conference and was burnt out from her corporate finance job…until her visit to a destination wellness spa in Sedona, Arizona. This trip inspired her to team up with cofounders Sarrah Hallock and Kane Sarhan to create THE WELL in New York City, now with outposts around the world like Mexico, Costa Rica, Miami. As CEO and CoFounder of THE WELL, Rebecca wanted to create “a complete ecosystem for wellness” for others to live “healthier, more balanced lives,” especially for the busy New Yorker to unwind, relax, and reset. From The Well’s website, Rebecca is also on the board for Ares Commercial Real Estate Corporation, an Advisor to Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition, is also a certified yoga teacher, and on the board of multiple nonprofit foundations.
