Founded by three sisters - Hélène, Anne and Alaïa - raised near the Atlantic Coast in the French basque country, Maison Alaena (as you guessed, a combination of their three names) opened its doors in 2021.
Combining a luxurious spa, a consulting room and a yoga studio, Maison Alaena offers all the savoir-faire gained from the wisdom of a dermatologist mother and a surgeon father. Guests can get a global and personalized vision of wellness. You escape. You feel good. Right here, right now.
Whether you’re coming for a Coup d’Éclat face treatment, a massage or a yoga class, all rituals have been curated by experts using high-quality organic products. The French family has also gathered a panel of professionals in dermatology, micro nutrition and naturopathy to offer you the best support towards optimal health.
With a first flagship spa which opened in 2015 in the surf city of Biarritz, the team began to expand and create their own cosmetic brand called Alaena Cosmétique. Now available in the Biarritz and Paris locations, as well as in many other partner spas like the Shangri-La hotel in Paris or the Mitsui Hotel in Kyoto, their skincare products combine efficacy and security. Marion Guillet is a former Marketing executive at Nike, model, surfer and wellness entrepreneur. She was born on the beautiful island of Madagascar, and her daily rituals include working for her own business and surfing sunsets in Biarritz, the surf city located in the South West of France.
"I grew up in Madagascar, where people are very close to nature and take care of themselves using plants. Sport has always been part of my life, but never performance sport, just the search for balance and well-being. In 2019, I took a yoga teaching course (Yoga Alliance 200YTT) to deepen my understanding of this practice. After a few years at Nike, I wanted to have my own project, and give it a responsible and community dimension.For me, wellness should be fun, inclusive and non-judgmental.
