Laid-back SoCal luxury at Ojai Valley Inn.

Travelers from near and far will love this cozy, remote, and luxurious spot in SoCal. The historic Ojai Valley Inn is a 5-star resort, which was called one of the best in the Golden State by Travel + Leisure. Recently, the property announced “the redesign of its most impressive accommodation: Casa Elar, a10,147-square-foot Tuscan villa that sits among picturesque olive and lemon trees and aromatic lavender fields.” Lavender fields and lemon trees in the mountains of SoCal? Sign me up ASAP.
Sitting on 44,000 square feet of land, the private residence turned compound was dreamt up by the resort's owners, who built it in 2006. They hired interior designer Natalie Konstant to decorate the property with California vibes and aesthetics like using locally made wood furniture, neutral interior accents, and custom art alongside archival photos of Ojai Valley Inn. She also instilled a stylish color scheme in bright, earthy tones beautifully highlights the dark wood finishes.
“Casa Elar features two spacious suites with beautiful arched windows and double-vanity bathrooms, two bedrooms with fireplaces and full bathrooms, and a private guest apartment with an open-floor living, kitchen, and dining space. The house's common spaces include a great room, a dining room that seats up to 14 guests, a library and entertainment room, a chef's kitchen, and indoor and outdoor fitness areas. Outside, a pool, a spa area, limestone fountains, and an outdoor gourmet kitchen complement the sweeping Ojai Valley vistas.”
You’ll feel like you stepped into a modern day fairytale with the estate at Ojai Valley Inn. Be sure to check out the award-winning Spa Ojai, the epicurean event venue The Farmhouse, and take on a championship golf lesson or trip. The price of this iconic castle is on the pricier side.
