In Alicante, Spain, a Guggenheim-esque architectural structure with elegant finishes and white curvatures is surrounded by cascading gardens and infinity pools. Famous Uruguayan architect Carlos Gilardi and award-winning European designer Elvira Blanco Montenegro worked to create an impact with this building, but what really sets this structure apart, are the famous wellness offerings and the commitment to sustainability in the region. The SHA Wellness Clinic in Spain integrates a unique harmony with its landscape, while offering some of the world’s top medical and wellness treatments, winning well over 100 wellness awards in its lifetime.
Located right on the Mediterranean and in the middle of the Sierra Helada Natural Park, SHA Spain sits in one of Europe’s most privileged locations— a wonderful climate of 330 days of sunshine per year. Nestled near nature, the clinic blends in with the surrounding vegetation that creates a beautiful sanctuary for guests, including permanent residents. The clinic and space helps one improve their health and well-being through ancient Asian disciplines and revolutionary western techniques. It is like a wellness Heaven with everything offered under the Spanish sun from Holistic, personalized programs that range from weight loss to genetic testing or even anti-aging treatments. Alfredo Bataller Parietti (pictured in the center), is the president and founder of SHA Wellness Clinic Spain. He created the concept as a result of his personal experience of suffering from many different health problems for over thirty years.
