π« SPOTTED @ SAGE & SOUND
Spotted. A wellness center and spa for all Upper East Siders. Located on the block of E 84th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, Sage and Sound transformed 5K square feet of real estate space to become a one stop shop of wellness activations and offerings like lymphatic massages, acupuncture, eyebrow therapy, facials, non-toxic nail services, retail therapy, mental and spiritual programming, an on-site health cafe, emotional coaching, and more. I could definitely see Serena Van Der Woodsen hanging out here. XOXO.

π« PLACE: SAGE AND SOUND
A holistic wellness center that commands the Upper East Side.
βWellness Your Wayβ is the motto at Sage and Sound. Walking in, I feel absolutely at ease and I love the mod architecture and interior design of the space, in addition to all of the amazing wellness offerings, curated programming, quality products, and self-care services all in one approachable environment. Founded by Lacey Tisch and Lauren Zucker, the duo wanted to share their wellness journeys with others by creating a hub where visitors can access the best wellness brands, practitioners, and healers all in one place.
Designed by firm Ronen Lev, the beautiful naturalistic layout combines βtexture and form to create a layered canvas of muted hues, sculptural arches, curved walls and soft, recessed lighting that guides you all the way through the space,β explain partners Jessica Kamel and Christina Akiskalou. It is also quite appealing that the entrance was inspired by the concept of yin and yang, a theory from Eastern philosophy that when opposites interact with each other, there is an inspirational effect. Lining the walls of Sage and Soundβs entrance are some of the most premier wellness products such as Biologique Recherche, Flamingo Estate, Frama, Tracie Martyn, and moreβ¦ all right outside the non-toxic nail care studio within Sage and Sound, the popular Sundays founded by Amy Ling Lin.
Community is a large part of building any good brand, specifically in the wellness space. Sage and Sound has been doing an amazing job creating curated high-quality programming for guests with their space called, βThe Study,β which offers everything from breathwork, sound baths, workshops, etc., under the leadership of director Ryan Haddon, who helps set up roughly seven classes a day. After personally attending a handful of Sage and Sound events like βPurpose Workshop with Full Plate Full Cupβ and βThe Power of Habits with Michael Chernow,β I can attest that Sage and Sound offers high quality content, events, speakers, and goodies. The health cafe Isle of Us graciously caters the events, which allow guests to mingle with each other. I left each time feeling inspired by those I met because those who visit Sage and Sound are individuals hoping to improve their quality of life, well-being, and relationships.
Sage and Sound is an amazing one-stop-shop of self-care and well-being practices. From personal experience, you can book classes directly online and make connections with like-minded individuals in-person. Then, right after your class, you can go to your lymphatic drainage treatment on site (IMD Beauty is at Sage and Sound!!!), get your nails done at Sundays, and then meet up with a friend at Isle of Us for some healthy bites. This was my most perfect day and I felt super reenergized.
FYI - If youβre interested in trying meditation at Sage and Sound, they are currently running a promo where you can buy 4 meditations and get 4 free! Just $112 (Valued at $224). Offer valid through 7/16. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE.
π« PEOPLE: LAUREN AND LACEY
The inspirational team behind Sage and Sound on the Upper East Side.
Co-founders Lauren Zucker and Lacey Tisch are the visionaries behind Sage and Sound. They opened the space due to suffering from multiple health issues, as well as trying to find a holistic center where practitioners and healers⦠thus, Sage and Sound was born. The beautifully designed space acts as a wellness sanctuary for those who want to try multiple wellness treatments and classes (or just one, but you most likely will stay longer), as well as get immersed in a wellness community. Lacey and Lauren created a space where people could come simply their wellness routines, integrate more and better self-care practices, and join a community of medical experts and holistic healers alongside other like-minded individuals wanting to better themselves.
You can read more of their story HERE.
"Sage + Sound guides individuals toward creating their self-care routine that fits their unique needs, lifestyle, and preferences. You no longer have to spend an entire day traveling around the city to meet your wellness needs. One place is all you need. The goal is to deliver self-care in a revitalizing, approachable and judgment free-environment,β says Lacey Tisch, Co-Founder of Sage and Sound
π« PRODUCT: SUNDAY STUDIOS
A popular non-toxic, vegan nail polish that is dominating the nail scene. They nailed it.
Sundays is a popular non-toxic vegan and cruelty-free nail care studio founded by Amy Ling Lin. Sundays provides wellness-inspired nail care products/services to encourage others to practice self-care by offering nontoxic polishes and mindful experiences such as βthe meditation manicure.β The colors are amazing and lasts longer than a normal manicure (from my personal experience). Also, small touches like a hand massage dipped in floral water elevate the experience. Currently, Sundays has locations in NoMad, Hudson Yards, and Upper East Side (at Sage and Sound).
