ππ»ββοΈ PLACE: SKINNEY MED SPA
Luxurious, Non-Invasive and Highly-Specialized Skin and Body Treatments.
Founded by identical twins Marisa and Adriana Martino in 2010, SKINNEY Medspa is an original non-invasive aesthetic provider, which has significantly grown in popularity with plans to expand further. What differentiates SKINNEY is their focus on revolutionizing the medspa space by creating a luxurious setting for their clients, offering specialized treatments driven by technology for advanced wellness solutions such as Coolsculpting Elite, Emsculpt Neo, EON, Juvederm, Morpheu8, and Pixel. SKINNEY Medspa is also the first and only luxury medspa offering Biologique Recherche facials in their NYC, Florida, and Texas locations.
βSKINNEY Medspa is the leading provider of non-invasive therapies for the face and body in the nation. We offer the industry's most innovative technologies and partner with top doctors and providers in the aesthetic industry to offer advanced wellness solutions.β - Marisa Martino, Co-Founder of SKINNEY Medspa
With increasing consumer demand for beauty treatments and the post-pandemic shift of health and wellness priorities, self care has never looked or felt this good. Forbes notes the non-invasive aesthetic market in the United States was βvalued at $52.57 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach over $150.6 billion by 2030.β This may shake up the cosmetic surgery market, but also, may be accelerating an existing category that can further democratize the beauty industry and make aesthetic treatments more accessible to consumers.
If youβre new to the medspa space, or feel overwhelmed by the existing offerings, I highly suggest going to SKINNEY Medspa, because they are highly trained professionals with decades of experience, such as Dr. Yana Delkhah. Beauty and wellness are almost now one in the same and is highly customized, technology-driven, and all about elevated convenience, which SKINNEY is known for. Also, be sure to check out SKINNEYβs own skincare line after your specialized treatments.
ππ»ββοΈ THE FUNCTIONAL BEAUTY DOCTOR
Dr. Yana Delkhah is changing the face of medicine, literally.
1. Tell us about yourself. What is your background?
My name is Dr. Yana Delkhah and I am a medical doctor who has trained in New York City hospital systems such as New York Presbyterian Hospital and Albert Einstein MedicalΒ Center for over 8 years. I have worked previously in emergency medicine, and critical care and was a trauma coordinator throughout my career, as well as, the co-medical director of simulation, which consists of teaching other doctors and medical staff how toΒ enhance their medical education and patientΒ care. I have expertise and certification in functional and preventative medicine as well as non-invasive cosmetics. My passion is providing educationΒ to patients about preventative medicine and overall health, which consists of combining Eastern and Western medicine. I'm currentlyΒ a concierge doctor serving New York City and the Hamptons. I am really interested in helpingΒ patientsΒ with weight loss, and lifestyle changes, and medically enhancing their lives through an array of biohacking tests, treatment plans, and protocols. I'm superΒ excitedΒ to be working to make individualized plans for my patients that can give them the best outcome.Β
2. What is the inspiration behind your company/expertise?Β
COVID was a big eye-opener for me. I always thought that when I graduated from my fellowships that I would spend time working in the hospital and find a way to merge my passion for functional medicine and patient care. However, COVID put a halt to that. Instead, I spent 3 years running the frontline in the hospital system, and as a director, what I felt was the best for my patients would sometimes get swept under the rug due to the politics of medicine. I wanted to start a practice where I can teach other doctors and medical staff that medicine is best practiced with individualized care that looks at all aspects of a patient's life.Β The goal is to change our mindsets as scientists and to practice medicine in that way.Β
3. Tell us more about industry trends and what the projected growth rate is.Β
The trend in medicineΒ rightΒ now shouldΒ be about best health practices that prevent long-term disease.Β QuickΒ anti-aging methods are not the answer.Β Patients should be informed and educated about a holistic approach to their health thatΒ can help slow down theΒ agingΒ process naturally.Β Health practicesΒ that enhance both your internal and external beauty is the new wave of medicine. However, I know a lot of providers are notΒ skilled to diagnose biologicalΒ age or want to help their patients achieve a younger and healthier age. It's hard when medicine becomes more about treating diseaseΒ than about preventing or fixing it. I believe that moving forward, especially after COVID, building a healthier immune system and paths to cellular repair is the next move. I feel grateful to be at theΒ forefront of this movement.Β
4. What are some of your favorite beauty/medical brands and why?Β
I really believe in vitamin boosters, IV therapies, and not just for hangovers, also NAD IVs, peptides for an array of things, hormone replacement therapy as well as helping patients with lifestyleΒ modifications to aid in the most difficult parts of day-to-day life, whetherΒ it's something like dieting or insomnia. I love PRP (platelet rich plasma) , and exosomesΒ and I'm a huge advocate of stem cells in healing.Β I think external products like Botox and internal products like the above listed,Β Β aid in beauty and wellness cohesively.Β
5. Tell us more about Skinney Med Spa. What sets Skinney apart from others?Β Β
We are located in Flatiron in such a beautifulΒ office space. I believe the aesthetics of our office is what amplifies the beauty and comfort of patientΒ care. This beautiful space allows us to meet all our patients' beauty needs and all their anti-agingΒ and wellness needs. Patients get a full assessment, we go through their medical, social, and psychological history. We send labs, do genetic testing, or send imaging as needed. This testing can be anything from hormone to vitamin deficiency, heavy metal toxicity, and so much more. We like to get the whole pictureΒ when coming up with plans to improve the biological age of a patient and help them preventΒ disease.Β
Come visit us! My office is located at Skinney on 125 5th Avenue on the 2nd floor.Β Patients can email me at Yana@skinneymedspa.comΒ or follow me on Instagram @Doctordelkhah
Patients can also book an appointment with me HERE.
6. Where should we go to learn more about functional medicine?Β
Start followingΒ me on InstagramΒ @doctordelkhah! I produce content to educate on health topics but I amΒ also starting to do more posts and videosΒ about medical treatments, testing,Β and dispelling myths, wanting to share all the facts and not just the opinions of medicine. I have been an associate professor at one of the top hospitals in New York City and because of that, I love educatingΒ people on health topics so they can make the best choices for themselves. I also listen to a lot of different doctors and speakers, like Mark Hyman. I think educatingΒ myself by learning from others and listening to different opinions or studies is the best way to stay on top of the latest trends, and never stop learning.Β
7. Any other fun facts or upcoming events we should know about?Β
I think if patients or clients are looking for a tie betweenΒ healthcare and their wellness needs then coming to visit us is worth it. It's like a primary doctor that wants you to be the best version of yourselves physically and intracellularly, and I believe that's what makes us attractive in medicine. So many of these bigger offices don't have individualized doctor care and we do. We will be doing a lot of wellness events in the next few weeks to months so please follow us so you don'tΒ miss out. We are always excited to partner up and participate with other brands and companies in beauty and wellness to make better experiences for our patients.Β
